I was using a certain service for my course with which I was explaining the networking part of KMP. And then a couple of weeks back the service stopped working. I looked into the issues on Github - the owner of the service said they were attacked constantly (because the service didn’t have authentication) so they’re taking steps to integrate protection. Sounds fine to me.
So the service started working again after a couple of days / week. But recently I started getting weird errors once again. I thought “huh, that’s strange” - so I started looking through the website and found the answer to my problem in the FAQ.
I followed the instructions, but requests began failing on the website as well.
And then I saw it…
At the very bottom of the page it said:
“Vibe coded with 💜”
I immediately knew I had to get rid of this service in my course or suffer the consequences. Idk what was the point of putting this message at the bottom of the page - to avoid responsibility? But either way I knew the things would go downhill from here.
The sad part is - this service has been up for a good 5 years, so it was not vibe coded in the beginning. But I guess the temptation is too much to use slop.
